It is with Kingston Pride’s pleasure to announce a new contest to find the first Kingston Pride Ambassador for this pride season!

In previous years, Kingston Pride held contests for titles of Miss Kingston Pride and Mister Kingston Pride. These titles were for self-identified drag kings and drag queens only. The duties of these titleholders were to represent Kingston Pride and be an advocate of the LGBTQ+ community of Kingston in other communities but more importantly to be the figureheads/grand marshals of the Kingston Pride Parade.

Consulting with the community and community leaders, Kingston Pride Inc. has decided to create a new title of Kingston Pride Ambassador and run a new contest to fill this very important role. This contest will be more encompassing and inclusive by giving opportunities for all advocates of the LGBTQ+ community to participate to represent Kingston.

If you think you got what it takes, don’t hesitate and complete your application form today (found below).  Deadline for applications is May 31, 2018.  For contest rules and the roles and responsibilities, please read them by selecting this hyperlink.
