Black Lives Matter

Kingston Pride stands in solidarity with all victims of racism, in our local community and around the world. We oppose racism in all its forms and guises, and continue working to change the systemic racism that afflicts so many in our society. The LGBTQ2S+ Community’s strength comes from the diversity, power and commitment of its membership, and as a movement born of protest and struggle, we stand side-by-side with protesters around the world during this time of crisis. Marsha P. Johnson, a Trans Person of Colour, took the lead at Stonewall in 1969, and we continue to stand with, support, and be led by People of Colour in what is our collective struggle.
