Festival Director Announced for 2019

Ted Robinson, Festival Director for 2019’s Kingston Pride Festival

Kingston Pride Inc. is excited to welcome Mr. Ted Robinson to the Festival Director position for 2019’s Kingston Pride Festival.

Ted comes to us with more than ten years of volunteer involvement with the Toronto People with AIDS Foundation’s Friends for Life Bike Rally, a charity bicycle ride that successfully raised over $1.7M in 2018. He co-chaired the 24-member Steering Committee and Bike Rally for two years, which resulted in hands-on experience with volunteers, participants, committees and boards. As the public face of the Bike Rally, he managed relationships with clients, the community, media and government as well as establishing negotiated sponsorship relationships at the corporate and community level.

When he’s not volunteering, Ted has had an extensive career in the adult beverage industry as a sales professional, coach, mentor and marketing manager. He is thrilled to bring his skills together with his passion for community involvement to further the mission and goals of Kingston Pride Inc.

The volunteer board of Kingston Pride Inc. conducted a thorough competitive selection process that resulted in a number of highly qualified individuals coming forward to be interviewed. The two member board volunteer hiring committee would also like to thank the impartial third interviewer, who balanced out the committee with extensive human resources experience
